How to Upload Custom Policies Into Your Employee Handbook

If you have a custom policy you have created and want to add it to your Employee Handbook follow these simple steps.

If the policy you want to add was created outside of SixFifty and you want to store it in SixFifty then you can upload it. To do this, you will navigate to Uploaded Docs > Upload.

💡Currently only .docx files can be uploaded to SixFifty

You will then select the desired word document you want to upload and click Open.

All your uploaded documents will be stored under Uploaded Docs

If you want to add a policy that you create in SixFifty, you will go to the Policy Library > select the policy you want to create > New Document.

To add the policy you just uploaded or created to your employee handbook, you will simply copy it and paste it into the editor of you Employee Handbook document.

Once you have copied it over you will need to format the policy title to a Heading style. We typically use Heading 1 for big sections, and 2 for policies.

Important: If the policy title is formatted as a paragraph it will NOT show up in the Table of Contents.

Once you have done this, your policy will be inserted into your Employee Handbook and the Table of Contents will reflect that added policy.
