How to access
Documents list: Click the three-dot menu on a document → "Update Notifications"
In the editor: File menu → "Update Notifications"
Add or remove recipients
Open "Update Notifications" for the document
Add the user you want to receive notifications, or click Remove next to an existing recipient.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Why can't I remove the document creator?
A: The document creator can't be removed because at least one person must always receive alerts for the document. If the creator is no longer with your organization, you can delete their user account. During the deletion process, you'll be prompted to reassign any documents they created to another user.
Q: How do I opt out of receiving these emails?
A: You can opt out of notifications at the document level. Open Update Notifications, click Remove next to your name, and click Save.
Q: How often will I receive notifications about document updates?
A: There's no set schedule. Our legal team continuously tracks changes in the law. When a change impacts your policy language, we'll notify you and provide an easy way to apply suggested updates from our legal team to help keep your policies compliant.
Q: Why don't I see the Update Notifications option on some documents?
A: Update Notifications are only available for documents that SixFifty monitors for automated legal updates. This includes handbooks, addenda, and individual policies. These documents can receive notifications when changes in the law impact their policy language.
Q: Why can't I add a Contributor to receive document notifications?
A: Contributors must have access to the product where the document lives in order to receive notifications. For example, a Contributor must have access to the Employee Handbook library to receive notifications for an employee handbook.
You can update their access under Organization Details > Members by adjusting their product or feature-level access.
